V’s Birthday

It was V’s birthday today, and we decided to take the day off from the studio, since it also happens to be a public holiday in South Africa, and head out east to Dullstroom. Beautiful day, blue skies, and big mielie fields – Dis mos mielies.
We had some amazing trout at a bistro down the main drag and found these incredible handmade wooden carousels (The Columbia Guide to Standard American English assures me that’s the correct spelling) that play “Its a small world”. We got caught in a traffic jam near Belfast (population 10 000), which was more funny than stressful.
Anyway not much more to say, Dullstroom is definately worth a look if you’re in the area or in the Pretoria/Johannesburg region, I just wanted to say happy birthday sweet thing.
