Una and Steyn

Saturday was COLD! After the final rose petals fell on the ceremony at the chapel in the University of Pretoria, it was off to take some group photos. We now stand at 150 people in one group shot. Thanks to Dewald for helping me direct the crowd, my Afrikaans has never been that great. Then it was off for some portrait shots of the bride and groom, and what incredible pictures they were! Steyn and Una put complete trust in us and I can’t thank them enough for that. These two are a great example of what putting your faith in your photographer can lead to.

I don’t normally mention various vendors in this blog, but I must name drop the guest house where Una got ready. It’s an amazing venue filled with so many spots to photograph in, that I could have spent the entire day photographing there. Incredible spiral staircases, four poster beds, arches and … well It’ll just stop there and mention that Pieter and Willie, the owners are super friendly and some of the nicest people.

I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed photographing Una and Steyn. We’re still smiling about it, thinking about the dance moves they pulled off and the sneaky cigarettes behind the statue. You remind me of why I love photographing weddings. Congratulations to you both!

[ Vendor Prop ] – Ellen’s Gate Guesthouse, It’s the yellow house on the corner of Church and Eastwood in Arcadia, Pretoria. I don’t think they have a website but you can contact them on 082 565 4889 or (012) 342 4089.

PS. I stand corrected, Ellen’s Gate does have a website which can be found here. Thanks Pieter.
