Joanne and Robert at Toadbury Hall
I must confess I was wishing for a highveld lightning storm, or at least some of those super dark stormy clouds, but Saturday came and it was a perfect day – the sun came out and the clouds arranged themselves into a picturesque tableux of fluffy white clouds. I suspect a lot of praying by the Leach and Paton clans. Much later that night, like at 2am, the rain came belting down, too late for my umbrellas by the lake image, but not too late for our newly washed car.
Thank you guys for trusting us, not thinking twice when I asked everyone to assemble on the tennis courts, or when we insisted that the jetty was too picturesque and we wanted to shoot somewhere with a bit more grunge and just being really cool to hang out with. The photos, too perfect, I was tempted not to post any portrait images this week, and just do the documentary stuff, but there were some killer bee ones in there so just one or two then.

I know you’re dying to know, so I asked, the dress is from Lady Marmalade with some serious styling by Joanne.

the guys blowing off some steam at the front of the chapel.

when i got home and had a look at this one, it just looked too picturesque, perfect blue skies, green trees, fish jumping – I immediately converted it to b&w. Much better

my fav image of the day, kind of vintage, very formal

It was our first time at Toadbury Hall proper, I had shot once before at Toadbury Island but not at the actual Hall, and all I can say is that we had a great time. The coordinator was on the ball, the food was fantastic, the staff were very accomodating and I think that being at the kind of venue where the b&g are relaxed and everything is going well really shows in the photos.
