I was recently speaking to a couple whose wedding I am about to photograph, just showing them the new albums and some prints. Talking about my views on photography, making sure that we are compatible and that I know what they want out of their wedding day photographs. I suddenly realised that I kept on saying we, as in, “… We generally prefer to get images of ….”, I have noticed the same thing in some of my blog entries and even in emails that I send out.

To clarify things, there is no ‘we’, there is just me. I do work with two associate photographers, and depending on the location of your wedding either Vicky or Martin will be working with me on the day, but ishootweddings itself is just me. All the work you see on this site is mine, saying ‘we’ is a bad habit that I seem to have picked up from my corporate days where saying ‘we’ implied the authority of the corporation was behind the statement.
