Selling out is harder than it looks

Been down in the dungeons this week, editing like mad, putting albums together (five of them went off to the printers this week!), trying to get as much as possible off the big whiteboard with it’s accusatory project plan. So not much blog worthy news, just thought I’d say hi, and I’m still here, just buried in work.

Watched The Darjeeling Limited, which was actually very very cool. Well filmed, with lots of yellows, and a dodgy spiritual quest story line that starts off with over-the-counter pain killers, Indian cough syrup, and a lot of alcohol. Since we now have a telly, I also saw Broken Arrow on e. You have to love John Woo, he gives John Travolta the hero treatment, all slow motion and tilted angles. Completely over the top stylized action sequences.

Got completely caught up, and lost a couple of hours, with the new Brent Stirton photos which are pretty insanely amazing – even though they distort at the corners.

Lastly read Hugh McLeod’s How to be Creative, which made me laugh, especially liked “diluting your product to make it more ‘commercial’, will just make people like it less”. Well worth the 20 minute investment to read it.

I’m away for the next week with back to back shoots. Plenty of new images next week.
