It has rained almost continuously since December out here in Johannesburg, and according to weather.com its going to rain again this weekend. In the last two months we’ve shot five ‘sunset’ weddings that have been rained out, the light starting to run out at about five or so, formals and groups having to be done inside. I’m quite tempted to bring some studio lighting to this weekend’s wedding, I wonder how Father Tim would feel about that. So much for summer in Africa.

Tip of the Day: Make sure there is going to be enough light to capture at least the group photos of your wedding. If possible try and schedule your bride and groom portraits for earlier in the day or the next day if you are planning a sunset wedding. Once the sun starts to set, the flashes come out.
