I just finished putting together Melanie and Reinhardt’s album, and I really do love it. It is elegant and classic and it really does reflect the excitement of the day and just how amazing Melanie looked in her dress. When I look around at friends’ albums and friends of friends’ albums I often wonder what the person compiling the album was thinking. It is not that I don’t see good photos, but that often when you look at an album you just don’t feel the wedding. The combination of the photos just doesn’t evoke any feelings.

That’s why I love spreads like the dancing sequences in Melanie and Reinhardt’s album, those guys just rocked out and had a blast and you can really see them and their friends having fun and the happy energy that was everywhere. I don’t understand those albums that have portrait after portrait of the bride and groom smiling stiffly at the camera and maybe some flash frozen images of very sombre looking dances.

Anyway I have decided to include their wedding album as one of our sample albums.
