Hidden moments

”Color tends to corrupt photography, and absolute color corrupts absolutely… There are four simple words for the matter, which must be whispered: color photography is vulgar”
-Walker Evans
I’ve been reading a lot of Walker Evans recently, and as an almost subconcious result a lot of my personal work has been in black and white. An amazing photographer, well worth spending a week or two looking through his work especially the stuff he shot for the Farm Security Administration during the great depression – he managed to capture an incredible sense of dissonance in his images.
