My Gakken Stereo Camera arrived recently, and while I knew I would have to build it from the kit, I didn’t realise that the instructions would be in Japanese. I’m not one of those people that grew up with digital cameras and doesn’t know how to manually set an f-stop, I started in the darkroom and in the last 20 years or so, I have built many cameras from scratch, opened up and hacked fixed quite a few as well. I’ve never built one from a kit before and this one looks like a beaut, now all I have to do is learn some Japanese.

	　ピンホールカメラとは、レンズの代わりに、針の穴で開けたような小さな穴で写すカメラです。淡く優しい絵画のような写真が撮れるのが特徴です。
