Friends of Dror Eyal Photography
I was shooting a wedding this weekend and we were just at the last couple of group photos, and the bride was being congratulated by friends and we were being interrupted every couple of minutes. The videographer turned around to me and said something along the lines of “Chaos, how can you work like this? Imagine someone like ****** **** here, he would throw a fit and walk out” (the photographer’s name has been changed to ** to protect his identity as to be fair he may not act that way). Anyway, that’s our style, casual, laid back, I feel that its your wedding day and you don’t really want your photographer to be running the show. So where was I going with this, oh yes, I’ve decided to put together a list of people who we enjoy work with, referrals if you wish, people who fit into our style of working and help, rather than hinder what we do. If you do get someone from this list, please let them know that you got their details here.
Videographers
DVI – very professional, on the ball, and Rob is very aware of photographer’s needs and never step on our toes.
Hauke – Super stealthy and unobtrusive. Andreas is a master ninja, with a killer bee sense of humour.
From Hauke – the bit where Candice gives the thumbs up in the ceremony always makes me laugh. Check out Candice and Justin’s album – here.
Makeup
Lyn Kennedy – she is a rockstar in her own right and whenever I walk into the bridal prep room and see Lyn there I know that the makeup is going to rock. She’s put makeup on some of the biggest names in this country and her editorial work is regularly featured just about everywhere.
Madeleine Botha – killer bee makeup artist, Madeleine is just cool.
Cathy Heaton – not only does she know her way around a camera, refuses to go south of Joburg and has several magazine covers on the shelf at any point but she is also the mother of Joe Buddy.
Sam at Lashline – has made our life as photographers super easy and helped produce some of our most rocking images, and we love her hair.
Decor
The Bloom Room/Trendy Settings – Never actually met these guys (must remedy that), but their work is always top notch, ready ahead of time and is just a pleasure to photograph.
Splendid Affairs – we really enjoy working with Eve and her work is always visually amazing.
Event Management
Otto De Jager Events – The Master.
The Muntz Group – The rockstars or, as Alfred prefers, South Africa’s first Black owned Wedding and Event design Company.
Splendid Affairs – Eve is funky and we always know we can relax when she’s organizing things.
Venues
Red Ivory Lodge – We just can’t say enough good things about James and his crew at Red Ivory, and the venue is a photographer’s dream.
Stationary
Moonbeams and Polkadots – cause we’re just handmade design stationary geeks at heart.
