Ok, apparently its not just Baobabs that will get me to a wedding, but also the mention of the words Buddhist temple. Marisa and Veijay, our first Buddhist couple, got married at the Nan Hua Temple in Brokhurstspruit, an amazing amazing place and well worth a visit even if you are just a tourist. Small, elegant and private, it was the kind of ceremony I would have liked, if I had been Buddhist and not Jewish (I only later learned about Jew-Buh’s, the mind boggles). The reception was held at the very stylish, eco-friendly Peech Hotel.

So now, I’m two weddings into my official break from work, but it was worth it. Marisa, Veijay and their kids were all rockstars and just cool.
