A bit dramatic for a wedding, but I loved the photo and just had to take it
I often get well meaning advice from people at events in regards to photography. I always smile, say thanks, and carry on shooting – my mom taught me to be always polite. So I thought it might be fun to showcase some of the advice I’ve gotten.
The one I often get is a variant of, don’t shoot into the sun you’ll get flare. If I could add a rider to that bit of advice, if you’re going to shoot into the sun, don’t stare into it.

We got very lost on the way back from Leopard Lodge last night, Hartebeespoort is not exactly our regular haunt. The wedding was beautiful, the weather incredible and Paula and Alan’s families and friends were amazing and friendly. It was an honour to photograph your wedding and to witness the love you have for each other after 20 years together. Enjoy your somewhere-where-it-isn’t-cold honeymoon.
