Comments II

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

I don’t know how many of you who read this blog regularly pay attention to the comments that run on the right hand side of the page (Never noticed them before huh), but I received a very sweet one today from Janice Holmes. Janice is Nadine’s mom, those of you who have been following the blog for a while might remember her as the woman who was carried to the car under stormy skies – it was one of the featured weddings on the old site, and its the photo that is most often mention in consultations.
It has been more than a year since their wedding, the album has been delivered, the photos done, and children have been born. I think I’ve even blogged about their album being delivered. Today, the comment arrived from Janice. All I can say is thank you, I’m flattered, and I love photographing children.

Nadine and Phil at Amazingwe

Monday, March 27th, 2006

Ah, finally a new venue! The day at Amanzingwe had started off ominously with rain and dark clouds but the sun came out just as the couple said their vows. Talk about a good omen! Nadine and Phil are a gorgeous couple and they really paid attention to every detail, right down to Nadine’s amazing dress and shoes and Phil’s cufflinks.

They were surrounded by their closest family, some of whom came all the way to from New Zealand, a 32 hour trip, to be with them. We’re glad to have been a part of Nadine and Phil’s wedding, they are such wonderful and fun people and were an absolute pleasure to work with.

[ Vendor Prop ] – Matt is the king of makeup artists. Witty, sharp and likes to say Hilda a lot. Rumoured to have slapped makeup on the faces of Charlize, Kate and some other celebrities he wasn’t willing to name. Call him on 082.441.2186, call him now though cause he is getting seriously booked.

PS. Unfortunately we didn’t get to do the shoot with the elephants due to the rain, which is a pity cause I had some great ideas for non-cheesy wedding photos with elephants. I don’t know why wedding photographers insist on doing such cheesy things with wildlife. Have you seen ashes and snow yet? Kind of took my breath away when I was doing research.
