Belinda and Ian at L’Aquila

I’d forgotten how much shooting a wedding for eight hours takes out of you. Woke up this morning with burning wrists and this vague sensation that my legs may have turned to stone during the night. You know that pain you get from spending four hours crouching, while holding what feels like a ton of equipment to your eye, because you don’t want the horizon to run through the bride’s head? Look out for my new exercise video for wedding photographers – Pilates for Photographers. Jokes aside, its back to gym as soon as possible for me.

A fantastic start to the season though, we got to shoot Belinda and Ian’s wedding (two of the coolest people) on Saturday at L’Aquila out there in Pretoria. Loads of laughs, twirling flower girls, breakdancing pageboys – one of my fav moments of the evening was when I was watching one of the pageboys doing the coffee grinder on the dance floor and Belinda turned around to me and said “that’s my godchild”. Sounds about right. You guys were all amazing and fun and we wish you didn’t live on another continent, we can’t wait for you to see all your pics.

Oh, before we show you some pics, I just wanted to add a thanks to Erna (someone please correct my spelling) at L’Aquila, who was on the ball, calm, always had a smile and was just a great coordinator.
