Those that know me, know that I have been very resistant to having my photos published in the local wedding magazines. I just think it puts wedding photography in a little box that says this isn’t real photography its only wedding photography, which pretty much perpetuates the stereotypical mindset that I keep coming across. Real photographers don’t shoot weddings. Shooting weddings is just a money making racket by those that can’t get fashion work. Lets not get started on the fact that fashion spreads in wedding magazines are shot by wedding photographers, why don’t they get fashion photographers to shoot them?

Ok, I’m ranting again and I’ve gotten into enough trouble after my last comments about photography competitions. So, when Top Billing called and asked to use some pics in their Eco Issue, I said yes. It’s a high-end lifestyle magazine and targeted at the kind of crowd I’m going for. Congrats to Michael and Angela, not sure if you’re wedding counts as an eco wedding but it was one of a kind. And now for the bad news – Minki did not choose us as her photographers and apparently went with Joe Dreyer. Oh well.
