Afterwards Duran turned to us and said, there’s a reason why it isn’t traditional for the bride to speak at a wedding. Claire had just rocked out one of the best wedding speeches we’d heard in forever, tears everywhere, and when it ended in the greatest line ever delivered in a wedding speech – “I know it’s traditional for the best man to taste the groom” … well, I have no words really. You had to be there.
That’s pretty much my memory of the wedding, which included a slick Bentley, a killer bee Spanish veil, and the organist from The Who ( maybe, my eyesight isn’t what it used to be). It also has so many of our favorite photos ever, expect to see a lot of images shot through car windows and images with ducks on other wedding blogs over the next while.
Reception: The Westcliff
Ceremony: St Georges
So we watched Snow White and The Huntsman the other night. Beautifully shot, with some really fresh ideas in terms of composition and motion, although Kirsten Stewart as the fairest of them all was a bit of a stretch, it was nice to see that the evil character was blonde and blue eyed for a change. I was a bit disappointed they didn’t feature Sneezy.
