20
In case you haven’t noticed the sign on top of the web pages I am no longer accepting new commissions for the 2006/2007 wedding season. As many of you who follow this blog know, I only shoot 20 weddings a year. I do this for one main reason. In order to stay fresh and shoot the kind of innovative stuff that is the cornerstone of my brand. I know there are many photographers out there who can shoot two or three weddings a weekend and still manage to produce new and innovative images every time they go out, but they are few and far between.
I have placed the limit on 20, and the rest of the time I shoot people, fashion, music, portraiture and photojourn assignments either for clients or for personal projects. It keeps my vision fresh and allows me to keep each wedding and wedding album unique and exciting. I think that no matter how many weddings one has gone to, and your wedding might be my 200th wedding, it is your first (or maybe second) wedding and I need to approach it with the enthusiasm and creative vision that it deserves. For me that limit is only one a weekend and no more than 20 a season. For those that do book, or have booked me, this is a gurantee that your wedding photography will be unique and fresh.
I do have several associates who shoot in a similar style and whom I’d be happy to recommend if you are tired of the gazing up at the sky, soft focus, touching the tree style of photography and would like something clean, modern and relaxed.
